From bean to cup is a long and stringent journey, we are here to ensure that every step along the way are given full attention to detail so that all the coffee goodness are preserved when it delivers to you.

Our coffee beans are ethically sourced from over the world by our master roasters and roasted in small batches by order.

Roasting in small batches definitely is more time consuming and requires extra effort, despite so we believe it is the best way to serve the absolute freshest coffee to you at its peak flavour.

Life is short after all, why drink bad coffee?

 

Humble Coffee Beginnings

In 2015, my husband Gideon and I, Vincy, ran a coffee shop in a small town. Initially, our goal was to simply make good coffee. However, after operating for a period of time, we realized that with limited resources in the town, we couldn't make a cup of coffee that satisfied us. With the desire to pursue better quality coffee, but limited initial capital for roasting, we could only roast small batches using a hand-cranked coffee roaster and supply to our own café.

Later, with a small amount of funding, we successfully purchased a 2kg roaster machine and established Soon Specialty Coffee in August 2017. At that time, we and our friend Alex set up a website, and the three of us began selling our own branded coffee beans online. During this time, we never gave up our pursuit of unique and flavorful coffee beans.

In 2018, by chance, we tasted direct-fire roasted coffee for the first time in Taiwan, brewed by a master with 20 years of experience. I remember very clearly that it was a cup of dark-roasted Brazil coffee with a full aroma, sweet and mellow flavor, and a strong aftertaste that left a lasting impression. In that moment, we knew that this was the unique flavor we had been seeking. We wanted to bring this feeling back to Malaysia! After tirelessly preparing funding, we obtained our first Japanese Fuji Royal roaster, and became Malaysia's first Japanese direct-fire coffee roaster.

品牌故事

2015年我(Vincy)和先生(Gideon)在小镇上经营一家咖啡馆,一开始纯粹是志在把咖啡做好的理念。经营一段时间后,发现小镇在有限的资源下,无法做出一杯让我们满意的咖啡。基于我们想追求品质更好的咖啡,烘焙初期资金有限,只能用手摇滚筒的方式小量烘焙,供应给自己的咖啡馆。

后来有了一笔小小的资金,成功购入了一台半直火烘焙机,在2017年8月份成立了顺精品咖啡。当时我们和好友Alex设立了网站,三人开始了网卖自家品牌的咖啡豆。在这段时间裡面,我们心中依然没有放弃追寻风味独特的咖啡豆。

2018年偶然的机遇下,在台湾第一次品尝到了直火咖啡,是由一位20年的老师傅冲泡给我们。我记得很清楚,那是一杯深烘焙的巴西,一杯香气饱满,甘甜、醇厚的巴西咖啡,强烈的尾韵让人记忆深刻。喝下去的瞬间,我们知道这正是我们一直寻寻觅觅的独特风味。我们想把这一份感动带回马来西亚!在不断地努力筹备资金后,我们拥有了第一台日本富士皇家烘焙机,成为马来西亚第一家日式直火咖啡。


品牌特色

一般市面上是半热风/半直火,滚筒的外壁没有孔洞,所以火焰不会直接接触到咖啡豆,容易掌控,品质稳定,整体的咖啡豆的味道比较乾淨,是咖啡烘焙裡的主流;直火烘培机最大特征就是滚筒会有小孔,让火源能直接触咖啡豆。它非主流主要原因是全程需以慢火烘培,烘焙师则需监控火候大小,和半直火相较之下是非常具有挑战性,但成品则比一般的咖啡豆来得醇厚和甜度饱满,香气馥郁,拥有强烈尾韵。

我们主打春夏秋冬四季综合配方豆!以四季为主题是希望就算在长年是夏的国家亦能透过四款不同季节代表的咖啡豆,体验到四季变化所带来的不同心情。什麽是综合豆呢?综合豆是指一包咖啡豆中包含两种以上不同产地出产的咖啡豆。为什麽要做咖啡综合豆?因为它适合长期供货和意式咖啡配方专用。同时让消费者除了单品豆外,也可以品味店家匠心独具研发的综合豆。这需烘焙师对味觉有丰富的想像力和烘焙的功力来做组合,也是烘焙师发挥创意的一个成品。


创办人

Gideon | 在饮食界拥有超过10年经验,其中包括五年意大利餐厅管理、五年经营咖啡馆生意的经验,对咖啡痴迷因此堕入毒海。2016年曾参加林东源老师的咖啡烘焙课程。2018年获得全马挂耳包比赛冠军 。目前是顺精品咖啡的咖啡烘焙师。

*林东源先生:Gabee创办人- 团队在林东源先生带领下五年内赢得了台湾五座冠军与两座亚军奖杯,七座荣耀创下了傲人的成绩。林东源先生在台湾内外夺得无数的奖项。经常受邀担任海外专业评审与表演嘉宾,担任国家代表选手教练,在各餐饮学院,职训中心与教育中心担任讲师,不断地致力于推广专业咖啡文化,为了能让咖啡深入到更多的群众,开始协助发行coffee t&i 国际中文版专业咖啡杂志,并藉由跨界合作的方式,将咖啡融入生活周遭所有的事物,让咖啡真正成为生活的一部份,创造出独特的咖啡文化。


Vincy |前职是一位幼教老师,对摄影和文案有浓厚兴趣,因此加入顺精品咖啡成为小编 ,负责面子书专页和IG营销内容还有客服。

Alex |纯粹喜欢喝咖啡的咖啡瘾仔,目前负责顺精品咖啡的网络营销和网站设置。
