Nestled at the foothills of Mount Kenya in Kirinyaga County, Kii Factory has been producing exceptional coffees since 1995. Operated by the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society, the factory works with local smallholder farmers who cultivate coffee at elevations of 1,310–1,900 metres above sea level.
Only the ripest cherries are carefully handpicked and selected before undergoing traditional Kenyan washed processing. The coffee is fermented, washed with fresh water from the nearby Kii River, and slowly dried on raised beds for approximately 14 days.
With meticulous attention to every stage of production, Kii Factory is celebrated for its beautifully clean, vibrant, and complex coffees, showcasing the distinctive character of Kenya's renowned Kirinyaga region.
